CCTV Maintenance

Regular maintenance helps to maintain the performance of CCTV systems. Having your CCTV system maintained also provides you with peace of mind. It is also cost effective to have a CCTV system regular serviced rather than the cost of breakdowns and repairs. Data Protection requirements mean that date/time must always be accurate and picture quality must be clear and concise. On our maintenance visits this is one of many aspects of the system we check during a routine maintenance. We recommend that a CCTV system should be maintained at least once a year. Below are some of the aspects our high trained engineers will examine when carrying out a maintenance visit:

View sample recordings
Check sample back up
Change date/time as applicable to comply with DPA
Ensure signage meets DPA as applicable
Check power supply and rate as applicable
Show that images are clear and concise to meet DPA requirements
Make adjustments to the camera if possible
Clean camera lenses
Clean internals of Digital Video Recorder removing dust deposits
Complete a visual inspection on the CCTV system
